Nightmare 001

The small grocery felt cramped. It didn't help that it seemed that some of the aisles were blocked off. I went to some shelves to check if there was anything I liked, but eventually found none.

As I went out the doors, I was weirded out by the entrance/exit. What was what I remembered to be almost neat and tidy was just plain trashy and dirty. Dreams have a way of being I later realized when I woke up. Also, it was getting dark.

Funnier still was that I was supposed to know where I was, but right then I was lost. There were no lit lampposts and the people were getting scarce. One old lady passed by, and gave me the general direction of the public market when I asked. My eyes were squinting by then, straining to see in the looming darkness. I held my arms out to be sure that didn't bump into anyone, or maybe I was trying to feel my way around the darkness.

A group of kids started to laugh at me, and mimic me, barely seeing them flail their arms in mockery. I asked them whether they knew where the public market was. They only snickered and giggled, "We don't know." It freaked me out.

However, as I repeated the question and received the same answer, my subconscious realized that I was just dreaming. Adopting a boxing stance, a switch clicked in my mind and the POV switched to an isometric one. I glowed blue and started trying to punch the offenders in the dream. Nothing really connected as the dream kicked me out.

I never lucid dream.

I woke up with sleep paralysis.

Wight Knight

Wiki says:

Wight is a Middle English word, from Old English wiht, and used to describe a creature or living sentient being. It is akin to Old High German wiht, meaning a creature or thing.
In its original usage the word wight described a living human being. More recently, the word has been used within the fantasy genre of literature to describe undead or wraith-like creatures: corpses with a part of their decayed soul still in residence, often draining life from their victims. Notable examples of this include the undead Barrow-Wights from the works of J. R. R. Tolkien and the wights of Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

A knight is a member of the warrior class of the Middle Ages in Europe who followed a code of law called "chivalry". In other Indo-European languages, cognates of cavalier or rider are more prevalent (e.g., French chevalier and German Ritter), suggesting a connection to the knight's mode of transport. Since antiquity a position of honour and prestige has been held by mounted warriors such as the Greek hippeus and the Roman eques, and knighthood in the Middle Ages was inextricably linked with horsemanship
